İstanbul’da düzenlenen iftar, şehit ailelerini bir araya getirirken; hatırlamanın, birlikte kalmanın ve sessiz bir dayanışmanın izini sürüyor.
Bazı buluşmalar vardır; nedeni bellidir ama etkisi çok daha derine iner. Bu akşam da bizim için tam olarak böyle bir anlam taşıyor. İstanbul’da şehit ailelerimizle aynı sofrayı paylaşmak, aslında sadece bir iftar programı değil… daha fazlası.Aynı masanın etrafında bulunmak, çoğu zaman kelimelerle anlatılamayacak bir bağı beraberinde getiriyor. Burada bulunan herkesin hikâyesi farklı olabilir ama hissedilen duygu ortak. Bu da insanı durup düşünmeye zorluyor:
Aslında bizi bir arada tutan şey tam olarak ne?
Biz Garanti Altın Rafinerisi olarak, bu tür buluşmaların sadece bir organizasyon değil, aynı zamanda bir sorumluluk olduğuna inanıyoruz. Çünkü toplumsal hafıza dediğimiz şey, ancak bu tür anlarda canlı kalabiliyor. Bir araya gelmek, hatırlamak ve birlikte durabilmek… bunlar her geçen gün daha kıymetli hale geliyor.İstanbul gibi sürekli hareket halinde olan bir şehirde, insanlar çoğu zaman birbirine temas etmeden yaşıyor. Ama bu akşam gördüğümüz tablo bunun tam tersi. Aynı sofrada, aynı duyguda buluşmak… bu, belki de en sade ama en güçlü birlik hali.Bizim için bu akşamın en önemli tarafı şu:Burada sadece bir yemek paylaşılmadı. Aynı zamanda bir hafıza, bir duygu ve bir bağlılık da paylaşıldı.
Ve belki de en önemlisi…
Bazı şeylerin yüksek sesle söylenmesine gerek yok. Çünkü herkes aynı yerden hissediyorsa, zaten anlaşılmıştır.

There are some gatherings whose purpose is clear, yet their impact runs much deeper. Tonight carries exactly that kind of meaning for us. Sharing the same table with the families of martyrs in Istanbul is not merely an iftar program… it is something more.
Being around the same table often creates a bond that words cannot fully express. Everyone here may have a different story, but the feeling is shared. And that inevitably makes one pause and reflect:
What is it, truly, that keeps us together?
As Garanti Gold Refinery, we believe that such gatherings are not just events, but also a responsibility. Because what we call collective memory can only stay alive through moments like these. Coming together, remembering, and standing side by side… these are becoming more valuable with each passing day.
In a city like Istanbul, constantly in motion, people often live without truly connecting with one another. But what we witness tonight is the exact opposite. Meeting at the same table, sharing the same emotions… perhaps this is the simplest, yet the strongest form of unity.
For us, the most meaningful part of this evening is this:
Not only a meal was shared here, but also a memory, a feeling, and a sense of belonging.
And perhaps most importantly…
Some things do not need to be said out loud. Because when everyone feels from the same place, it is already understood.
