When did your hotel, which is located in the historical peninsula, one of the most visited regions of Istanbul, started to serve? What is the concept of your hotel?
FER Hotel has been serving since March 2016. The original historical building on which it is located has been transformed into a modern and elegant facility consisting of a total of 56 rooms and suites, ensuring that it catches up with the time from the 1800s to the present, and all the materials used inside have been carefully selected down to the smallest detail. The fundamental concept of our hotel is based on the relationship between light, water and mosaic, and in parallel with this, the name “FER”, which means brightness, was given. Outstanding from the first step, its vibrant inner courtyard combines the image of the shimmering colors of the peacock with sunlight, water and sparkling mosaics. As the radiance of the Historic Peninsula, FER Hotel aims to offer a unique accommodation experience as a luxury boutique hotel located at the very center of the cultural texture that has permeated from ancient times to the present. It is a remarkable choice for both holiday and business travelers with its walking distance to world-famous baths, museums, mosques, mansions, historical shopping areas and works of art, and easy access to metro, tram and ferry lines.
Which countries do you mainly host your guests from?
It is possible to come across guests from all over the world in our hotel, which is different in every respect with its concept and understanding of accommodation service. Countries such as the United States, Australia, Brazil, and the Republic of South Africa make up more than 30% of our guests, and our guests choose FER Hotel again to stay in Istanbul on repeat visits. Our priority is the satisfaction of all our guests from all over the world and making them feel at home.
Do you host events as well as accommodation?
Our meeting room, located on the top floor of the hotel, with natural daylight, provides professional organizations, creative flavors and quality service, as well as personalized solutions for meetings or banquets. It is possible to use it in events with a capacity of approximately 40 people in an area of 65 square meters and a layout plan can be created according to the desired table arrangement. In this area, where we especially host meetings and training organizations, there is an outdoor terrace for coffee breaks and cocktails, in addition to adjustable lighting, air conditioning, blackout curtains, wireless internet, LCD projector and curtain, blackboard, technical support and valet service in the field. Since it is on the same floor as the RoofFER Restaurant, it is also ideal for catering organizations after or between meetings. According to the structure of the organization, we prepare a selection of fresh snacks for the coffee break, however, we can work on a special menu or provide food service in the form of an open buffet.

You are serving in a very busy area in terms of accommodation. Why should your guests choose you?
The Historical Peninsula is the first choice of the people who come to the city to stay, the region with the highest tourist potential and the competition is quite high. FER Hotel, on the other hand, although it belongs to the Sultanahmet region, is also close to attraction points such as the Grand Bazaar, Çemberlitaş and the Şerefiye Cistern; more precisely, in the very center of many attraction points, really in the heart of the Historic Peninsula. In addition to being within walking distance of public transportation systems such as metro and tram, there is ease of transportation by vehicle; our guests can come to the door with their private vehicles, and they can safely park their vehicles in our closed car park. This is a very difficult quality for the region we are in and can also be considered as a reason for preference. Apart from all these, we think that we make a difference in this region with our modern and contemporary ambiance, which is noticed at the very first step, and our understanding of service, and we aim to offer a unique accommodation experience to our visitors. In order to make this experience unforgettable, we keep our service and personnel quality at the highest level, value the satisfaction of our guests and make every effort to ensure that their expectations are met. In return, we receive comments from many guests about our hotel, “home away from home”, that is, a place where they feel at home, which motivates us very much, and we bid them farewell to meet again.
